Wreaths Across America

Last week, the Truck Parking Club team headed to Washington, D.C. to support our nation's veterans and service members.

At the Veteran Ready Summit, we joined U.S. Under Secretary Anthony Tata and Wreaths Across America President Morrill Worcester for the Wreath Tying Ceremony at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial. Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer delivered powerful remarks on creating pathways for veteran employment in trucking. We were proud to contribute $3,500 in Club Cash to the winners of the Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence Award—now in its 10th year helping veterans launch careers in the industry. Congratulations to winner Charles Jones Jr. and finalists Macy Mattice and Mark Scriven.

On National Wreaths Across America Day, Evan, Brent, and Jordan joined volunteers at Arlington National Cemetery to lay wreaths and say the names of our nation's fallen heroes aloud.

As we work to expand safe, reliable truck parking nationwide, we're honored to support the veterans who keep our country—and our supply chain—moving.

🔥 Fire Risk (Today) Southern Kansas and far northern Oklahoma under Critical Fire Weather risk. Gusty winds + bone dry conditions. Stay alert.

🌨️ Blizzard Conditions (Northern Plains) Lingering snow + high winds = low visibility and drifting. If you're on I-94 or I-29 corridor, check conditions before you roll. ND conditions → | SD conditions →

🌊 Pacific Northwest (Today → Saturday) Another atmospheric river is dumping heavy rain across western Oregon and northern California. Flooding possible, especially in the Cascades. Expect delays. OR conditions → | WA conditions →

🥶 Cold Behind the Front (Friday) Temps drop fast after the front passes—teens and 20s in the Midwest, 40s-50s in the Southeast. Dangerously cold wind chills Friday morning across the northern Plains.

🌡️ Record Warmth (Yes, Really) Desert Southwest, Great Basin, High Plains, and even New England/Mid-Atlantic could see record highs Friday. Wild contrast from what's happening up north.

🌨️ Lake Effect (Friday → Saturday) Snow showers behind the system for Great Lakes and higher elevations of the Appalachians into interior New England. Another clipper brings more Saturday.
