Kraig E - Champaign, IL

For 23 years, Kraig has been building Edelman into a comprehensive trades company, starting with electrical work and gradually expanding to include HVAC, plumbing, and solar services. What began as a single trade has grown into a multi-location business with around 100 employees.

When he purchased the Champaign property along Interstate 57 in 2016, it was far from ready for business. The lot was filled with construction equipment and debris that needed to be cleaned up and graded before it could be used for anything productive. After months of cleanup and preparation, the space finally looked presentable.

The opportunity for truck parking came unexpectedly when a construction company approached them, asking to stage equipment on the lot. This opened Kraig's eyes to the potential of their unused space.

Since joining Truck Parking Club in January 2025, he has seen tremendous success with. The platform has provided the exposure they needed to reach truckers passing through the area, turning their unused lot into a reliable revenue stream that complements their established trades business.

Kraig's vision extends far beyond Champaign - he's planning to expand Edelman from Wisconsin to Florida over the next ten years, building on the solid foundation they've established in the trades industry.
